Édouard de Villefort
Son of Héloise de Villefort and Gérard de Villefort. His mother's desire for him to inherit his grandparents-in-law's fortune causes her to poison several people in the Villefort family. When his father discovers of his mother's crimes, he forces her to commit suicide or else face public execution. In the end, she poisons herself and Édouard.
